About Joyeeta
Joyeeta is a young and dynamic Bharatnatyam dancer with a special focus on the traditional style of ‘Kalashkshetra’. She started her career in dance at the age of seven under the guidance of Smt. Sabita Saha (Mitra). She completed her Masters in Dance from Rabindra Bharati University, Kolkata in 2012. During her stay in the university, she attained the accession of renowned dancers and choreographers like Guru Khagendranath Barman, Guru Avoy Pal and Dr. Mohua Mukhopadhyay.
Having an avid quest for learning, she is pursuing specialized training in Chennai under the august mentorship of Padmabhusan C.V. Chandrasekhar - one of India's senior most Bharatanatyam dancers, veteran academician, dance scholar, composer, choreographer and recipient of several awards of national and international repute. With a mission to spread dance-literacy she founded Chhandaneerh in the district town, Medinipur and has been catering to the demands of Bharatnatyam with her varied experience and expertise for the last one decade.
